A typical story of a parent trying to find a school which values the freedom of child, combined with the passion to childhood education has transformed into Cremon ten years ago against all odds. Her thirst to learn about childhood education has led her to complete diploma in Pre-Primary Education from IMC, Pre-Primary and Elementary level courses from NAMC (North American Montessori Centre), a diploma in Elementary Education from AMI’s Montessori Institute Prague, and training on Infancy development in Glenn Doman method. She has her sights set on establishing the Montessori way of Adolescent Education – ‘Erd Kinder’ to provide a more complete environment for children. |

Anitha Polepalli Primary Assistant Guide
Anitha holds an M.Tech degree from JNTU in Digital Electronics. She worked in IT for a year, and then as a lecturer at an engineering college. During this time, Anitha “felt like a machine” and could not find work satisfaction. She was inspired after reading online that Montessori method grounds a child, and decided to join her child. During the orientation she noticed that one child was working with Decanomial square material, and another child knocked it unintentionally. However, the first child was unwavered, he simply did the exercise again. This was the moment she realized the value and decided to work with this philosophy. The work satisfaction that was lacking in previous jobs returned once she started working with the Montessori method and children. She likes to spend her time listening to motivational speakers, especially of Mahatria Ra. She also enjoys cooking. |

Manognya Challa Primary Guide
Manognya has always been inspired by the nature, which led her to conduct research on biofuels during her Masters education, and subsequently as a research assistant in Environmental Sciences for 6 years. During this time she had an epiphany that there is so much to learn from nature, and that sensitizing children at an early age is vital because “what cannot be appreciated will not be protected”. Ken Robinson’s TED talk about why there should be a change with the current schooling system inspired her to find alternatives for her child. One of the key differences she noticed in majority of Indian Schools when compared with schools in western countries was rote memorization of concepts vs. their application in project based learning. The large homework loads on young children did not sit right with her. A visit to Montessori environment and learning the philosophy gave her a relief and hope for educating her child. She obtained a diploma in Primary Education from IMC Bangalore. What was supposed to be a regular job interview led to respect for the vision of the founder and co-ordinator, and was inspired to work with Cremon. She likes the fact that “Everyday is a new experience working with children”. Her dream is to learn to play a grand piano. |

Sunitha Singh Subedar Primary Guide
Very few people have the fortune of clarity about career paths at an early age. Sunitha is one of those lucky ones. Inspired by her teacher in school, Sunitha was determined to become a teacher after growing up. Her path to Montessori has not been as straight forward though. In fact it took her over 8 years and a lot of pressure from her friends to get enrolled into the Montessori Primary Diploma from IMC, Hyderabad. Her background as a Hindi Pandit, and sheer determination has led her on a career path from assistant teacher to a senior teacher to a Head Mistress of a traditional children's playschool . Obviously, she felt it would be a step down to go from Principal to a new Montessori teacher and start over. It did not help that she was not impressed by the theory during Montessori training. However, it all changed when she went for observations as part of the training and noticing the incredible ease with which children learned. She started to pay more attention in the classes and realized she has found the method to stay with. She worked at Tarapoorwala's Montessori House of Children for a couple of years and has later chosen to make Cremon her home five years ago. Sunitha likes to write and find poems and stories, or design worksheets or make material for children in her class for their development. She is also keen on training to work with special needs children. On a more personal level, she likes to cook and experiment on her husband. |
